-
First unigue feature is it's multi-port panel. What do you imagine when it's said "multi panel"? Aye, USB and FireWire and audio jacks... And what about IDE? GMC is very proud of their invention - they put standart IDE-connector and molex plug just in to this multipanel! So from now you don't need special external CD-ROM or rack for your "portable" hdd. Really cool feature. It's strange that no one else used this simple idea. Btw it's interesting idea for modders to make such thing DIY. Except IDE connector on Neo Classic's multipanel you'll find two USB 2.0 ports plus MIC and EAR jacks.
This case built around standart Noblesse chassis and this means that at the bottom of case we have not just a multipanel, but a full-fledged 5.25" slot. So if you remove multipanel you could install anything you want instead of it. I find useful to mount a CD-ROM drive there if you place a case on the table.
Well if we started to speak about chassis then some more information. As well as side panels it is 1 mm thick steel so there are no vibration or extra noise as it happens in cheap cases. We've got four places for fans (two front, two rear), five 5.25" drive bays including one at the bottom, one external 3.5" bay plus five internal for HDDs (four in detachable drive cage) and enough space for dual cpu motherboard inside.
The second unique feature is more complicated. Neo Classic absorbs the "Silent case" concept. It's quite innovative for a stock case. What is so special about it?
1. Top and side panels as well as bezel and bottom of chassis are covered inside with thick rubber-like sound dampering mats. They have two rabbits shooted with one bullet: noise and vibration. And due to these mats case weights more than Chieftec's DX-01 - 11 kilograms without PSU!
2. Case equipped with four ultra low noise 80 mm fans from ADDA (1600 rpm and just 15 dB!).
3. In the clamshell you'll find complete set of silicon anti-vibration and sound dampering pads, including triangle ones for all coolers to minimize vibration of chassis and lower noise. One special pad is for PSU. It is mounted on the back of it and helps to block the vibration generated by PSU. The special material of pads is two layered, one of which absorbs noise and second one blocks the noise coming through.
So if you seek an ally in fighting the noise you found it;).
